Decatur has had a a lot of mottos: “The Pride of the Prairie,” “We Like it Here” and our unofficial nickname thanks to Staley Manufacturing Co “The Soybean Capital of the World.” As long as soybeans are grown and processed here, we will forever be “Soy City.”
